Dr. Ferzaan A. Ali

Dr. Ali is the Owner and President of  ChiroCarolina® and has practiced since 2006. Dr. Ali is a Charlotte native graduating from North Mecklenburg High School in 1999 and in 2003 from UNC Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Biology & Chemistry. After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Ali moved to Kansas City, Missouri for his chiropractic education, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2006. While in the chiropractic program, Dr. Ali was selected to work in the prestigious externship program at Truman Medical Center Hospital, receiving the award for clinic excellence and service.

Dr. Ali has studied the most recent advancements in clinical research and contributed to a case study on conservative chiropractic treatment of veteran patients with paradoxical pulmonary hypertension, under the direction of Dr. Chip Gowan at Kansas City VA Medical Center. Dr. Ali is also working on publication in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics and Spine Journal for research on the conservative management of cervical/lumbar disc injuries with manipulation and traction decompression therapy.

Dr. Ali is a Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, N.C. Workers Compensation certified, and an active member in both the American Chiropractic Association & North Carolina Chiropractic Association. In his free time Dr. Ali enjoys golfing & traveling abroad with his family. Dr. Ali brings a wealth of knowledge & personal commitment to ChiroCarolina®.

Dr. Henry E. Rice

Dr. Rice was the founder of ChiroCarolina® and past owner. He was in practice from 1979 – 2015, with more than 30 years of experience evaluating and treating patients in the field of chiropractic medicine.

He retired in 2016 from practice to an Emeritus Status for his years of dedication and service to ChiroCarolina.

Dr. Rice is married to Mary Ann Rice, who is a full time nurse educator/instructor at UNC Charlotte. They have two children, Christopher and Jennifer.

Dr. Rice is a Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and holds a medical board certificate from the University of South Dakota Medical School, 1978. Dr. Rice has been a member of North Carolina Chiropractic Association since 1979. In 1992, Dr. Rice contributed to a low back pain research study with UNC Chapel Hill Medical School. The study was directed and administered by Dr. Timothy Carey, who published the study in the The New England Journal of Medicine.

Dr. Rice’s degrees are a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Rice completed 360 hours of post doctoral orthopedics, 1984-1986, in the Diplomate of American Chiropractic Board of Orthopedics curriculum. In February 2007, Dr. Rice successfully passed certification for North Carolina Workers Compensation.

Dr.R.Scott Saario

Dr. Scott Saario joined ChiroCarolina in 2009 and performs chiropractic and acupuncture treatment. He was born and raised near Seattle, WA and after graduating from high school he moved to Tampa, FL where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida. Dr. Saario subsequently attended the University of South Florida and Excelsior College where he earned his Bachelor of Science and Humanities.

Dr. Saario attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL and graduated Cum Laude in 2009. He was presented with the Clinical Service Award in recognition of his commitment and service to patients and with the Palmer Clinic System. Dr. Saario is licensed as a Physician of Chiropractic in Florida and North Carolina and has previously practiced in Clermont, FL. Regarding his postgraduate education, he is a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and has Diplomas from the National Board in Physiotherapy and Acupuncture. Additionally, he has served as an Adjunct Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at the University of Daytona.

Among Dr. Saario’s professional affiliations is his membership in the American Chiropractic Association in the North Carolina and Florida Chiropractic Associations. Scott and his wife, Melissa, compete in drag racing and enjoy golfing and visiting the mountains of North Carolina. Dr. Saario is committed to identifying and eliminating the cause of his health problems and restoring his quality of life in the shortest time possible.
