As another effort to give back to the community, Charlotte chiropractor clinic ChiroCarolina® pledged their support to sponsor the programs and activities of Carolina For The Kids.
The largest student-led and student-run organization, Carolina For The Kids has become one of the biggest donors to UNC Children’s. Funds raised through CFTK programs and activities benefit the patients and families of UNC Children’s through grants that can cover needs that are not covered by insurance policies. To further the cause, ChiroCarolina® pledged $2.5 million to fund the design and construction of an off-campus pediatric clinic.
“We are proud to be a part of such a great cause and look forward to being involved with our Carolina Family in years to come,” Dr. Ferzaan Ali said.
Since 1998, more than 10,000 students have volunteered their time and effort to support the cause of Carolina For The Kids. Year-long activities culminate in the Dance Marathon, a 24-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping event held in March on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill. The event is joined by over 2,000 students and supporters.
The Dance Marathon and all programs leading to it is organized by the 13 committees of Carolina For The Kids. Activities include fundraising events and volunteer opportunities for those who want to support the cause. To further the cause, CFTK also works with numerous community partners who can help them broaden their reach in North Carolina.
“We find inspiration in the children, families, physicians, and other hospital staff who support us year-round and share their stories,” the team said.
