In the 2006 episodes of “Dancing With the Stars,” the show featured football superstar Emmitt Smith’s success on the ABC show – chiropractic care. The show highlighted the “minor repairs” that Smith’s chiropractor, Dr. Robert Parker, DC, did before the week’s Samba competition. After the adjustments done by Dr. Parker, Smith was said to deliver the best Samba performance of the night. Emmitt Smith has been going to Dr. Parker since 1995.
Smith, however, wasn’t the only contestant who goes to a chiropractor to stay in top shape for dancing. Entertainment Tonight correspondent and past Dancing With the Stars contestant Lisa Rinna reported that Karina Smirnoff and Ashly Del Grosso, two of the dance professionals of the show, were both injured in one of the 2006 episodes. The ABC show had chiropractors on standby in case the contestants needed treatment.
Dancing With the Stars is a dance show that pairs celebrities with dance professionals. The partners battle it off in a dance studio in front of a live audience and on national television. The pairs are judged by a panel of experts in the dance field as well as the viewers wherein the lowest-standing team is eliminated at the end of each week. ABC’s Dancing With the Stars has been a top-rated show in the 8 PM time slot.
