February 2013 – Dr.Ferzaan A. Ali is being invited as a guest by The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Medical School’s – Sport’s Concussion Symposium. This multidisciplinary lecture will be sponsored by the NFL Player’s Association and the University of North Carolina’s Medical School.

He will be lecturing on collaborative efforts in healthcare today on early diagnosis, management, and preventative efforts on patients from a chiropractic standpoint. Topics of discussion will include the latest research on concussions and whiplash syndrome associated with cervical/cranial trauma. Additional panel members include neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, vascular surgeons, and sports medicine physicians from across the region.

Dr.Ali will also be focusing his lecture on conservative efforts in healthcare today in head trauma treatment and educating young athletes about the severity of the situation. Additional time will be spent on the NFL’s Sideline Concussion Assessment Tool and the benefits of implementing this evaluation as soon as possible on the field/court of any sporting event by a healthcare professional.
